“Excellence and Balance, Open to See the world”, Shenghua Zizhu Bilingual is dedicated to nurturing students with strong visions in both academics and personal development, ensuring a high spirit in learning and teaching. The series of “Merits of Teaching” will focus on subject features, allowing teachers to share their insights and reflections from various perspectives and demonstrating their great love and passion in teaching. Let’s welcome our fifteenth edition:  “Merits of teaching” written by Mr.Wang Hao from our Middle School.

Part 01

十六载匠心 课堂魔法师

Classroom Magician

我的课堂,语文不是枯燥的字词和课文,我会带着学生们“穿越”到作者的时代,在特色的语文模块课中要学生体味写作之趣。

In my classroom, Chinese language is not about dry words and texts. I take students on a journey back to the authors’ eras, where they experience the joy of writing in specialized Chinese modules. 

在以往开设CCA课程——作文课的日子里,通过趣味引导,学生在写作与诗词创作领域收获颇丰,斩获诸多奖项。不仅如此,同学们还将自己的优秀作文精心汇编成册,发表于《中文自修》《上海市优秀作文集选》等刊物。

During the CCA writing courses, students have achieved remarkable success in writing and poetry creation through fun guidance, winning numerous awards. They have also compiled their excellent essays into collections published in journals such as Chinese Self-Study and Shanghai’s Best Essays.

教龄增长,但对备课始终一丝不苟,深入研究学情,精心打磨每一节课。在我的课堂上,既有充满魔法般的趣味性,吸引学生沉浸其中;又有卓越的专业性,助力学生学业成长。

With increasing teaching experience, I remain meticulous in lesson preparation, refining each class. My classroom combines magical fun to engage students and excellent professionalism to support their academic growth.


我相信,只有让学生真正爱上学,在学术与诗意的天平上,这样的老师才是“跨界天花板”。

I believe that only by truly making students love learning can a teacher become a “master of crossing boundaries” in the balance of academia and poetry.



Part 02

年级组——德育实验室

Pastoral Care Lab

作为年级组长,我肩负着引领教师成长的重任,指导他们融入团队,积极与家长沟通交流,搭建家校合作的桥梁。

As a year group leader, I take on the responsibility of guiding teacher development, helping them integrate and actively communicate with parents to build a strong home-school connection.

此外,我还牵头组织各类丰富多彩的活动,推动年级组各项工作稳步前行。

Additionally, I lead the organization of a variety of activities to ensure the steady progress of all grade-related tasks.

作为中学部德育主任助理,我的办公室就像“解忧杂货铺”,学生的大课间活动有个有趣的名字——五花八门擂台赛,师生一起滚铁环、打乒乓、踢毽子、五子棋、打篮球等。

As the assistant head of middle school pastoral care, my office is like the “Miracles of the Namiya General Store”. We also have break activities called “Colorful Contest,” where teachers and students enjoy traditional games like rolling hoops, playing table tennis, kicking shuttlecocks, playing Gomoku, and basketball together.

我觉得,德育就是让学生在生活中找到诗意的“隐藏关卡”。

I believe that pastoral care is about helping students discover the “hidden levels” in daily life.



Part 03

教研探索 拓展教育视野

Expanding Educational Horizons

在华师大基础教育学科教研联盟活动中,我执教群文阅读系列公开课;在吴泾镇学区交流中,分享初中阶段名著阅读的教学方法;在闵行区的区级教研活动,做《名著有法、取舍有道》的主题交流。

At China Normal University Basic Education Subjects Teaching and Research Consortium, I taught a series of cluster reading open classes. During the Wujing Town academic exchange, I shared teaching methods for famous works in middle school. At the district-level teaching and research, I led a themed discussion on “reading and choosing from famous works”.

学校从未吝啬为教师提供成长与展示的平台,无论是市级、区级公开课,还是日常的磨课与交流活动,都为我们提供了宝贵的锻炼机会,让我们在一次次交流与实践中成长。

The school has always been generous in providing platforms for teacher growth and display. Whether it’s open classes or daily lesson refinement and exchange activities, these have offered us valuable opportunities to grow through practice and communication.

曾有幸带领领圣华学子到美国、英国、日本等学校深度学习,回校后将更多元育人方式融会贯通。

I have also had the privilege of leading students on in-depth learning trips to schools in the US, the UK, and Japan, bringing back more diverse educational approaches.

我的课间,有“古文弹幕”活动—学生用英文翻译“醉翁之意不在酒”“海纳百川有容乃大”。在教育的舞台上,我体会到Open to See the World的多元性和包容性。

During my breaks, we have “Ancient Chinese Bullet Screen” – students translate ancient Chinese phrases into English, such as “The true pleasure of drinking lies not in the wine itself”.  Embracing diversity and inclusiveness, I have experienced the multicultural and tolerant nature of “Open to See the World” in education.

八年前,有幸踏入圣华紫竹双语学校,开启了这段意义非凡的教育旅程。在这里,我陪伴着第一届和第二届圣华学子走过毕业季,见证了他们的成长。我亦从一名专注于学术的骨干教师,逐步成长为具备多元能力的教育多面手。教育是知识的传递,更是人格的塑造与未来的引领,让每一位圣华学子卓越均衡·面向世界,找到属于自己的光芒,正是我们的初心与使命。
