Principal’s Monthly Letter In May 2025
Principal’s Monthly Letter to Parents
31st May, 2025
Dear parents,
May brings lush phoenix trees and busy days on campus. Piano melodies blend with eager voices, creating a harmony of growth. We extend our deepest gratitude to all educators who cultivate knowledge and young minds with care and dedication and all parents who trust us for ever. Now, let’s celebrate the bright achievements of this blossoming season.
TEACHING AND LEARNING:
Primary School, we enriched students’ emotional and intellectual growth through parent workshops and emotion-management seminars. Labor Day class activities tied to the “520” theme fostered empathy and responsibility. Our mentor program, combined with 10th-birthday celebrations, highlighted our caring school community and strong parent-teacher partnerships. Teachers refined lesson plans and course guides, boosting classroom efficiency. Interdisciplinary projects like “80 Days” explored global cultures through herbs, museums, and literature. Chinese “Read-Aloud for Love” deepened literacy, while math and ethics classes showcased innovative teaching in district events. Fourth graders’ top scores in city-wide assessments further proved our academic rigor.
Middle School, student leadership and initiative were cultivated through clubs, journalism courses, and structured field studies. Fun competitions like jump rope, table tennis, and basketball leagues promoted physical and mental well-being. The “80 Days” project explored artifacts and painted art from six countries, broadening students’ global perspectives and aesthetic appreciation. Personalized parent-teacher-student meetings, the “14-Year-Age Ceremony”, and mentor-led stress-relief sessions provided holistic support, preparing students for academic transitions. Teaching teams collaborated to refine classroom interactions using data-driven reflection tools. G9 graders received tailored college counseling, ensuring strong performance in both national and international exams. Lessons balanced academic rigor with creative thinking, fostering dynamic and engaging learning environments.
SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT:
This month, we further strengthened our academic programs through collaborative innovation. Key initiatives included “student portrait” framework, CCA modules and 9-year-through integrated discipline system, aligning national standards with our educational philosophy. In brand building, we hosted educators from prestigious institutions including High School Affiliated to ECNU, SJTU High School, ECNU International Curriculum Center, and UK’s Oundle School for academic exchanges. Our AI-empowered CCA program with Intel attracted an official delegation from Chengdu for knowledge sharing. What’s more, we proudly co-hosted the inaugural “China-Australia Cup” and “Trivium Cup” English event with ECNU. The preliminary round attracted 700+ participants from 139 schools across 8 provinces, reflecting our growing national impact. The dedicated General Affairs team was established to refine daily operations, and with strong PTA support, we completed upgrades to school uniforms and bus services, while the dining improvements will be the next. Meanwhile, Campus Transition Office was newly set up to oversee relocation to our new site. We will warmly invite PTA representatives to participate in environmental tests and move-in evaluations, together with our parent community, we’re committed to elevating every facet of our students’ growth!

This campus where tradition meets modern education will soon quietly unveil itself, ready to welcome students and staff this autumn. Ahead of the opening, we’ll organize tours for faculty, parents, and students. We’ll also invite selected parent representatives to assist with final inspections and moving preparations. Together, we’ll make this campus truly special for our children!
Dear parents, May is a month of blossoming growth and shining moments for our children! Across every grade, students have embraced unique opportunities to sparkle on their own stages: G1 “80 Days” of global food cuisine fair, G2 assembly and the Young Pioneers induction ceremony, G3 the “Decade of Wonder” birthday party, G4 citywide academic assessments, G5 graduated transitions, G6 a talent-packed grade assembly, G7 subject based “80 Days” of Learning, G8 “Fourteen & Fearless” ceremony and G9 the final sprint toward high school entrance exams. I firmly believe that”every child deserves a stage”, whether through performances, projects, or personal milestones, we see their confidence grow, and I am very much anticipating to watch as they carry that confidence into classrooms, friendships, and futures bright with possibility.
