8月5日至11日，由耶鲁大学隆重背书、享誉全球的学术巅峰盛事——2024“世界学者杯”(the World Scholar’s Cup)全球轮比赛在大连落幕。
From August 5th to 11th, the 2024 “World Scholar’s Cup,” a globally renowned academic pinnacle event endorsed by Yale University,which was held in Dalian.
我校4组选手12名成员在这场跨越国界、融合多元学科的智慧较量中，与来自众多英语母语国家的佼佼者同台竞技，以非凡的学识与卓越的团队协作能力，赢得了令人瞩目的辉煌成就：累计斩获金牌13枚，银牌17枚，战绩斐然。
Our school’s four teams, comprising 12 members, competed in this boundary-spanning, multidisciplinary intellectual contest against top performers from predominantly English-speaking countries. With extraordinary knowledge and excellent teamwork, they achieved remarkable success: a total of 13 gold medals and 17 silver medals.
杨申雨、李思源、沈越皓小组从1100多名青年学者中脱颖而出，成功晋级耶鲁冠军轮，与全世界的精英学者同台PK。
The team of Shenyu Yang, Siyuan Li, and Yuehao Shen stood out among over 1,100 young scholars and successfully advanced to the Yale Championship Round to compete with elite scholars from all over the world.
在激烈的比赛过程中，学生们经历了团队竞答、协同创作、团队辩论、学者知识挑战四个环节。
During the intense competition, students experienced four rounds: team quiz, collaborative writing, team debate, and scholar’s challenge.
世界学者杯每年会围绕一个主题（Theme），通过跨学科（Subjects）、主题性探究式等独特的学习方式，展开对六大学科（科学&科技、社会学、历史、艺术&音乐、文学&媒介、通识）领域的深度探究与竞技，这一过程不仅激发了学子们对不同学科的浓厚兴趣，更在无形中锤炼了他们的团队合作、国际交流、创新思维与批判性思考能力。
The World Scholar’s Cup revolves around a theme each year, exploring six disciplines (science & technology, sociology, history, art & music, literature & media, general knowledge) through interdisciplinary and thematic inquiry-based learning methods. This process not only sparks students’ interest in various subjects but also subtly hones their teamwork, international communication, innovative thinking, and critical thinking skills.
智慧火花，限时挑战
A spark of wisdom, a limited time challenge
团队竞答：以其紧张刺激的氛围与广博的知识涵盖，考验着团队的默契与智慧。每题15秒内需快速决策，展现了团队协作与应变能力。
Team quiz: With its tense and exciting atmosphere and broad knowledge coverage, it tests the team’s coordination and intelligence. Teams must make quick decisions within 15 seconds per question, demonstrating teamwork and adaptability.
文思泉涌，共绘华章
A brilliant idea, a magnificent painting
协同创作：是思维与文字的融合。学生面对6个题目，先独立思考，然后通过20分钟讨论和40分钟创作，最后15分钟打磨，形成具有思辨和个性的作品，显示了学生的写作能力和独特见解。
Collaborative writing: A fusion of thought and text. Students face six topics, think independently, then discuss for 20 minutes and write for 40 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of polishing to form a piece that reflects critical thinking and individuality, showing students’ writing skills and unique insights.
唇枪舌剑，思维盛宴
Eloquent debates, a feast of thought
团队辩论：是思维与口才的巅峰对决。在三轮辩论中，每轮15分钟准备，辩手们4分钟发言阐述观点，随后机智回应，无论是时事还是生活话题，都能辩论得生动有趣。
Team debate: The pinnacle of mental and verbal sparring. In three rounds of debate, with 15 minutes of preparation per round, debaters have 4 minutes to present their views and then respond cleverly, making debates on current affairs and everyday topics lively and interestingly.
书海寻宝，智启未来
Searching for treasures in the sea of books
学者知识挑战：以选择题的形式，鼓励孩子们广泛阅读、深入思考，不断拓宽知识边界，激发创新思维与探索精神。
Scholar’s challenge: In the form of multiple-choice questions, it encourages children to read widely, think deeply, continuously expand their knowledge boundaries, and stimulate innovative thinking and the spirit of exploration.
此外，世界学者杯还精心策划了城市寻宝、才艺表演、文化村、举旗仪式及学者舞会等一系列丰富多彩的活动。
In addition, the World Scholar’s Cup has meticulously planned a series of colorful activities,such as city treasure hunts, talent shows, cultural villages, flag-raising ceremonies, and scholar’s balls.
在这场汇聚智慧与激情的世界学者杯盛宴中，圣华学子们展现出了非凡的学识与卓越的协作精神，为成为具有全球视野的未来学者与领袖奠定了坚实的基础。这段旅程，将成为他们人生旅途中一颗璀璨的明珠，永远闪耀！
In this World Scholar’s Cup feast that gathers wisdom and passion, students from our school have demonstrated extraordinary knowledge and excellent collaborative spirit, laying a solid foundation for becoming future scholars and leaders with a global perspective. This journey will become a shining experience in their life’s journey, forever meaningful for every student!
