My Profile

大家好，我是九（6）班的郑千寻。2022年夏末秋初，伴随着明媚的阳光，我满怀期待地来到美丽的圣华紫竹双语学校。过去三年的学习生活中，学校开放包容、积极向上的校园文化，老师们耐心细致、循循善诱的学术授课，同学们充满活力、奇思妙想的探讨交流，让我的中学生活丰富多彩、受益良多。

Hello everyone, l am Zheng Qianxun, from Grade 9 Class 6.l even cannot believe l havecompleted more than half of the study time in ourmiddle school. l often recall the day when l stepped into our beautiful school campus for the 1st time. Withtheir guidance and support,with alittle bitnervousness and more curiosity,l started my middleschool journey.How exciting, heartwarming, busy and interesting this journey has been!

A Colorful Journey

从词汇语感到逻辑思辨，CCA课程如春风化雨，为我的科创之旅奠定了坚实基础。而在学术之外，这片天地更为我打开了多元发展的可能。无论是高尔夫、击剑的初次尝试，还是乒乓球台上的技艺精进，每一次探索都让我收获新知、技能与友谊。运动赋予我活力与健康，而CCA课程则全方位地滋养了我的成长，让我的潜能被悄然激发。

The CCA curriculum laid a solid foundation for my innovation journey, fostering both language sense and critical thinking. Beyond academics, it opened doors to diverse experiences—from trying golf and fencing to improving at table tennis. Each activity brought new skills and friendships, boosting my energy and health, while CCA holistically nurtured my growth and helped me realize my potential.

钢琴和绘画，是自我童年起便相伴成长的爱好。2023年夏天我参加了白玉兰国际音乐节上海赛区的钢琴比赛活动，与众多音乐学院、附中的专业选手们同台竞技，并取得了业余组二等奖的优异成绩。

Piano and painting are lifelong passions that I have nurtured since childhood. My dedication to piano was demonstrated at the 2023 Magnolia International Music Festival’s Shanghai competition, where I was awarded second prize in the amateur category, competing alongside students from prestigious music schools.

学校组织的丰富多彩的校园活动鼓励我探索和发现自己更多的可能性。在七年级戏剧节中，我导演的《皇帝的新装》以及出演的英语戏剧《花木兰》在年级校会上获得观众们的热烈反响。

Our school’s vibrant campus life has also empowered me to discover new potentials. During the seventh-grade drama festival, I directed “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and performed in the English play “Mulan.” Our performances were very well-received by the audience at the grade assembly.

今年5月八年级语文年级演讲活动中，我的主题演讲《中学生要怎样做到格物致知》荣获一等奖。在这项活动中，与优秀的同学们同台竞技，我的批判性思维、写作能力与演讲能力都得到了锻炼和提升。

In May of this year, during the eighth-grade Chinese speech contest, my keynote speech won a first-place award. Competing with outstanding peers in this activity significantly honed my critical thinking, writing, and public speaking skills.

学校语文教研组创办了学生文学创作期刊《兰香文思》，鼓励同学们进行文学写作的练习与展示。我的散文《春风拂过》有幸入选第一期期刊，这对我可是莫大的肯定！

Additionally, our school’s Chinese Department launched a student literary publication, “Orchid Breeze and Literary Thoughts,” to encourage and showcase student writing. I was honored to have my prose piece “A Gentle Spring Breeze” selected for publication in its inaugural issue, which was a tremendous affirmation for me.

尽管进入高年级，学业日重，学校对我们体魄锻炼却一如既往地重视与支持。八年级上学期期末，年级组举办了羽毛球比赛活动，同学们积极参与，乐在其中。八年级下学期期末，年级组又组织了篮球比赛，作为班级女篮的主力队员，我积极参与比赛，与同学们一起在场上奋力拼搏。学术修养与体育锻炼并重，让我们拥有知识学识的同时，也具备强健的身体，以应付未来更大的挑战。

As academic demands grew in higher grades, our school continued to prioritize physical fitness. A badminton tournament at the end of eighth grade was met with enthusiastic participation. Later, I played as a key member of our class’s girls’ basketball team, striving with my peers on the court. This balance of academics and athletics equips us with both knowledge and health to take on future challenges.

九年级伊始，我们就搬进了恢宏、现代、崭新的兰香湖新校园，这可是我们期待已久的校园盛事！新校区拥有一流的软硬件条件：宽敞明亮的图书馆藏书丰富，不少英文原版书也可以找到；温馨的多功能区和安静的自习室，满足同学们的社交与学习需求；食堂尤其值得一提，新餐厅洁净有序，工作人员热情友好，推出的基础套餐和特色餐花样繁多，美味可口；还有历史、地理、艺术等专业教室，供师生们进行专业的教学活动。我尤其喜欢音乐教室，课间时前往，与老师和同学们一起弹弹琴、聊聊天，不失为紧张学习间隙的有效放松。

Our new campus at Lanxiang Lake, which we moved into in ninth grade, boasts excellent facilities. These include a well-stocked library, versatile common spaces, a welcoming cafeteria, and specialized classrooms. My personal favorite is the music room, where playing the piano between classes offers a perfect break.

“天行健，君子以自强不息”。作为一名中学生，我的奋斗之路还只是一个开端。在圣华紫竹双语所学到的知识、习得的品行、明白的道理，将永远是我人生中的财富，滋养我、鼓励我全力以赴，追光逐梦，成为更加优秀的自己！

“The celestial bodies never halt their course; likewise, we should never cease to grow.” My journey at SHZS has provided me with invaluable knowledge, character, and clarity—assets that will last a lifetime. They fuel my determination to pursue my dreams tirelessly and become a better me.
